Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Caithness Horizons

Caithness Horizons opened to the public on the 1st December 2008 following the refurbishment of the Thurso Town Hall and adjacent Carnegie Library. The permanent exhibitions at Caithness Horizons use three Collections which were previously in the ownership of Highland Council, Thurso Heritage Society and UKAEA at the Dounreay Visitors Centre to tell the fascinating story of the town of Thurso and the county of Caithness from geological times to the present day.
